WHO HYDRATE IS FOR

New to hot yoga? It takes 3-5 classes for your body to acclimatize to the heat. Set yourself up for success and make sure to drink plenty of water before, during and after class. You may experience severe headaches post classes despite drinking plenty of water. Since your body is not used to sweating so much and is loosing more electrolytes than are being replenished by drinking plain water, we highly suggest adding Hydrate to your water during and after class to replenish quickly.

Those who drink sports drinks regularly. Experienced practitioners, especially men, often believe they cannot survive class without their sports drink. They regularly drink gatorade and other sports drinks so they do not become dehydrated. However, sports drinks are packed with excessive sugars, calories, and the artificial colors and flavors are derived from aromatic hydrocarbons from petrochemicals. Manufacturers are not required to divulge this information because artificial colors and flavors are considered intellectual property. There are many studies showing more negative than positive health benefits from sports drinks. If you regularly drink sports drinks try Hydrate instead. It has 4x less sugar than and is not loaded with all the extra fillers, flavors, and questionable frills.

Having an off-days or emergency situation? Some days we’re simply a little off due to not being properly nourished or hydrated. Perhaps a you drank the night before or overexerted yourself before class. There are many many reasons why a hot student may become fatigued and dehydrated in a humid 105 degree hot room. When we become dehydrated we drop, quickly. We may become dizzy, blackout, or faint. In these situations we NEED electrolytes. They truly help us bounce back to either finish class and hydrate before leaving the studio.
